James joined the Heritage team at Barton Willmore with over 8 years’ experience in heritage consultancy. In his role as Senior Heritage Planner, he provides advice on development proposals with a particular specialism in infrastructure projects. With a background including both built heritage and archaeology, James provides a comprehensive approach to heritage planning. He is well versed in policy and legislation affecting heritage assets, with experience across projects of varying scale, including strategic assessment, environmental impact assessment and listed building consents.
James holds an MSt in Building History from the University of Cambridge and is a full member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA).
