- Up to 2,600 new homes
- 273 acres of extensive parkland
- 4,970 temporary construction jobs
Providing up to 2,600 new homes (of which approximately 40 % will be affordable homes) and a mix of retail / commercial space alongside new green space, parkland, education and community facilities. EuroPark proposes the formation of a series of new communities to the north of the M8 motorway and Eurocentral / Maxim and has been designed to complement the existing communities of Calderbank, Carnbroe and Chapelhall.
At the centre of the proposed development sits 273 acres of extensive parkland, which will formalise and improve the existing green network around the Monklands Canal and North Calder Water, forming a new country park and delivering a mix of new amenities, accessible to the wider area.
This proposal offers significant economic potential including: 870 direct jobs, 4,970 temporary construction jobs and £ 114.2 m additional household income.
