Inchgreen Dry Dock

Inchgreen was initially put forward for City Deal funding for the development of the renewable wind sector, however, after fuller investigation, this proposal was not considered to be deliverable. An alternative proposal was put forward, maximising the economic potential of Inchgreen, supporting fulfilment of Inverclyde and Glasgow City Region sustainable development goals.

A total of 801,660Te of infrastructure is estimated for removal from UKCS, requiring a total of 15,241 days onshore work, peaking in the early 2020s. The scale of the onshore requirement represents an opportunity for Inchgreen; ports harbours and yards are critical supply chain elements, particularly those benefiting from deep water access and dry dock facilities.
