Our team secured outline planning permission for SEGRO in June 2012 for the redevelopment of the Leigh Road Central Core area of the Slough Trading Estate, the largest estate of its kind in Europe. The purpose of the proposals was to ensure the Trading Estate continued to attract inward investment, create jobs and offer opportunities for improving skills and training to local people. This was predicated on an extensive mixed-use Masterplan comprising 130,000m2 of offices, 10,500m2 of hotels, retail, health club, transport hubs and an education/skills centre.
- 130,000m2 of office space
- 10,500m2 of hotels, retail, health club, transport hubs and an education/skills centre
- New link bridge
Significant infrastructure enhancements were also featured, including Leigh Road Bridge which spans 52 metres and provides a new link across the Great Western Railway. The new bridge opened in October 2015.
