A redundant industrial site has been transformed into a new mixed-use community.
Surrounded by Georgian, Victorian and brutalist architecture, the site proved an interesting architectural challenge. Working closely with our townscape planning team, massing analyses helped our team build an understanding of important views and routes to the local St John’s church and wider London landmark’s, as well as considering how the proposed homes and workspace units could best address and feed into the existing streetscape.
The complimentary final design reflects existing building material colours and proportions, whilst securing valuable intensification that doesn’t threaten existing rights to light.
