Our team are currently working with Urban Union to deliver the ‘Pollokshaws Living’ development on a prominent brownfield site in Glasgow’s south side. The site forms a key part of Glasgow City Council’s Regeneration and Development programme, and is included in one of the city’s eight identified Transformational Regeneration Areas.
- Regeneration of brownfield site
- Delivering 137 new family homes
- Working with public and private sector partners
The site was formally occupied by high rise flats, until these surplus blocks were demolished between 2012 and 2015. The redevelopment of this cleared site will deliver 137 new family homes for private sale, including a mix of terraced blocks and apartments. Our multi-disciplinary team have developed a masterplan that carefully responds to the local context, delivers high quality open space and maximises permeability between Shawbridge and the adjacent Pollok Country Park.
The detailed planning application was submitted in November 2017 and a Minded to Grant (subject to legal agreement) was issued in May 2018. We are working closely with Glasgow City Council to progress the application to determination, with construction due to commence in late Summer 2018.
