Heritage Planning Director

Lorraine leads the Heritage Team and has over 12 years’ experience working in the heritage sector across both the public and private sectors.

Working across a range of designated assets, Lorraine leads our high-quality heritage service, which complements the Practice’s inter-disciplinary offer; drawing on her extensive experience within the historic environment sector to provide specialist heritage advice to clients, including Liverpool John Moores University, Royal Mail, Swan Housing and University College, Oxford.

Lorraine uses her experience to help secure high-quality development solutions within historically sensitive locations. She is experienced in undertaking detailed heritage appraisals, statements of significance and impact assessments to sand brings her public sector experience to bear in building positive relationships with local planning authorities, Historic England and other stakeholders. Lorraine also has experience acting as an expert heritage witness.

Lorraine holds an MSc in European Urban Conservation from the University of Edinburgh as well as an MSc in Urban Design from Anglia Ruskin University. She is a full member of the IHBC and sits on the Ely Diocesan Advisory Committee.
