Ben Kwok

Senior Infrastructure and Environmental Planner

Ben is a Senior Planner within the Sustainable Value team. He joined the team having completed a MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge and has a track record in climate change impact assessment, and embeds health and wellbeing principles at projects across the development lifecycle.

His experience includes commercial, residential and mixed-use schemes of varying size and scale and includes new Garden Settlements. He is involved with undertaking detailed climate mitigation resilience assessment including vehicular emissions assessment and energy strategy work, as well as applying an ecosystem services approach to natural capital to ensure that the totality of environmental betterment and subsequent value is captured for a project.

Ben also has experience in infrastructure consenting, having worked on a number of on-shore and off-shore wind projects, hydrogen production facilities as well as solar photovoltaic (PV) farms ranging up to 160MW in scale. He has an interest in novel energy technology, with his Master’s thesis assessing localised impacts on residents from hydraulic fracturing at Preston New Road, Blackpool.
