Our teams were commissioned to produce detailed public realm and landscape proposals for the 160 hectare first phase of a high-quality, residential-led, mixed-use community to the west of the Holy City of Mecca in western Saudi Arabia, with the aim of enhancing the real estate proposal.

The scheme consists of 23 different parks and open spaces in addition to a significant highway buffer corridor that accommodates the existing symbol gateway to Mecca. Further, a street system of 40 km is proposed to be included as a key element of the emerging proposals, which range from a grand avenue to residential and back streets.
