Lancaster Moor Hospital

After the Lancaster Moor Hospital closed in 1999, many of the buildings on site had fallen into disrepair. The 9 hectare scheme sees renewal through the restoration of the prominent Grade II listed hospital annexe, while providing up to 440 apartments and houses.

Project Details

One of Lancashire’s iconic landmarks since 1832.

  • Restoration of the prominent Grade II listed hospital annexe
  • Up to 440 apartments and houses
  • Attractive character areas and public spaces

Members of the Planning Committee were fully supportive of the well-designed scheme, which utilises existing strong tree belts and topography to create a development with attractive character areas and public spaces. Furthermore, the development has cross-funded the renovation of the adjacent heritage assets.

The project was delivered in Summer 2017 - five years earlier than scheduled!
